It is hard to convey just how impressive this past year has been. Everything worked! Led by you, our donors who believed in us, and our volunteers who stepped up to master a challenging new lesson plan, ATC had a year of unparalleled growth and academic success.
Here are the highlights:
ATC expanded by 30% this year, tutoring 255 students, up from 195.
ATC is now active in all 14 City of Alexandria public elementary schools.
ATC updated the tutoring lesson plans, materials, and books in keeping with Virginia legislation and shifts in reading instruction.
ATC retrained its entire tutoring corps, a whopping 314 volunteers, to deliver the new lessons.
89% of students met year-end benchmarks!!!
These incredible achievements were fully funded by almost a half million dollars in donations.
