Other ways to donate:

Gift of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds: With a gift of appreciated securities such as publicly traded stocks, bonds, or some mutual funds, you can support ATC’s mission and avoid paying capital gains tax. Plus, you may be able to deduct the full fair market value of shares held longer than one year. For more information, contact Lisa Jacobs at (ljacobs@alexandriatutors.org)

Gift through a Donor Advised Fund or IRA: A donor advised fund (DAF) is a special charitable account to recommend grants to your favorite organizations like ATC. For individuals with an Individual Retirement Account (IRA) subject to Required Minimum Distributions (RMD), a contribution to ATC is a qualified charitable distribution which can be used to satisfy RMDs and avoid paying income tax on the amount withdrawn.

The information you may need to either recommend a grant through your DAF or direct a qualified charitable distribution through your IRA to ATC includes: ATC’s legal name and address (Alexandria Tutoring Consortium, Inc., 323 S. Fairfax Street, Alexandria, VA, 22314) and EIN 56-2542869. Please contact ljacobs@alexandriatutors.org with any questions.
